AI should give better experiences.
Not just better answers.

We are a team of engineers and product leaders building AI experiences that respond and adapt to people in real time.

Why we started.

AI is making discovery worse. Ask a general assistant for something real, something with taste or context or a budget attached, and you get a wall of text. The work moved. It did not disappear.

We think the most powerful AI systems should be beautiful, joyful and accessible. Systems that show you something, that adapt as you go, and that leave you with a decision instead of a reading list.

Heywa Labs are now focussed on building products that prioritise experience just as much as capability.

What Generative UX means.

Read the manifesto

Generative UX is our name for interfaces that are generated, not designed in advance. Instead of a fixed page with filters bolted on, the experience assembles itself around what a person is trying to do, in real time.

Three things have to happen for that to work.

  1. It reads the intent behind a question rather than matching its keywords.
  2. It builds a visual answer on the spot, from approved content and components.
  3. It keeps adapting as the person follows their own thread, so a follow-up reshapes the page instead of resetting it.

A traveller asks

Ten days in Japan, culture over beaches, mid-range budget.

They get a visual itinerary, built around the trade-off they actually named.

A shopper asks

Something for commuting and weekend runs, under £120.

They get a curated comparison, not three hundred unsuitable results.

A host asks

What wine goes with a spicy hummus spread?

They get a set of pairings, with the reasoning shown beside each one.

What we believe.

Four things we keep coming back to when we decide what to build and what to leave out.

Curiosity is a superpower

The best products reward it rather than shortcut it. We would rather leave someone knowing more than we found them.

Visual by default

People understand pictures faster than paragraphs. AI should meet them there instead of asking them to read.

Trust through transparency

Answers grounded in real content, from sources you can see. Nothing invented, nothing unattributed.

Time well spent

Five minutes with our products should feel better than five minutes anywhere else. If it does not, we have not finished.
